Shargun Mehta was born on 6 September 1988 in Chandigarh. He did his matriculation from Sacred Heart Convent School, Chandigarh. After that Shargun did his higher secondary from Carmel Convent School, Chandigarh. He received his B.Com degree in Commerce Faculty from Kirori Mal College, University of Delhi. She also used to do theater during her college days. He decided to pursue a master’s degree in marketing from the UK.

Shargun auditioned for the serial “12/24 Karol Bagh” after receiving his bachelor’s degree. In which he started his acting career in the TV industry by playing an important role. He did not have to leave Delhi for this, as the show was shot in Delhi.
In the year 2015, he made his Punjabi acting career in the Punjabi film industry with the film “Englishman”. In the year 2018, he acted in the Punjabi film “Kismat”.
He acted in the film with Binnu Dhillon in the Punjabi film “Kala Shah Kala” (2019).
