Biography
Mrinal was born on 1 August 1992 in Nagpur, Maharashtra, India. After completing her primary education, she enrolled at Kishanchand Chellaram College, Mumbai to pursue a degree in journalism (Bachelor of Mass Media). She has been interested in acting since childhood. Her parents had fully supported her acting dream.
Family
Mrinal was born into a Marathi family. She is the daughter of Uday Singh B. Thakur, who is an assistant general manager at Union Bank of India. She has two siblings, her elder sister is Lochan Thakur, and brother’s name is Mandar Thakur.
According to sources, Mrinal is dating Sharad Chandra Tripathi, a writer by profession.
Career
Mrinal started her acting career when she was in college. She made her acting debut opposite Mohit Sehgal with the role of Gauri Bhonsle Gaikwad in the TV serial “Mujhe Kuchh Kehta Yeh Khamoshiyan”. She played a journalist in the Star Plus show “Har Yug Mein Aayega Ek Arjun”. She hosted the comedy-drama “Do Phool Char Mali” with co-host Barun Sobti in Dubai. Mrinal played the lead role in Zee TV Kumkum Bhagya opposite Ajit Taneja.
She has also worked as an actress in Marathi films such as Hello Nandan, Vitti Dandu, Surajya and Rangwari. In the year 2014, she also participated in the sports reality entertainment show “Box Cricket League”. She also participated in “Nach Baliye Season 7” with her boyfriend Sharad Chandra Tripathi.
Mrinal Thakur made her international debut with the Indo-American film “Love Sonia” produced by David Womark. Currently, Mrinal is going to debut in Bollywood with Hrithik Roshan in her upcoming film Super 30.
